CFO Event, Celtic Manor, 5th-6th July

Archer Mathieson consultants Ben Davies and Catherine Turner recently attended the inaugural CFO Event, hosted by Global Business Events, at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, South Wales, in the role of event sponsor and chosen recruitment partner.
Billed as Europe’s biggest finance event and attended by over 120 CFOs and Financial Directors, the two-day programme featured 40 speakers, 33 workshops, 4 debates, surgery panels, networking and, of course, golf. With an agenda constructed by an advisory panel of finance leaders, the CFO20, the conference was the first of its kind to be devised by senior finance professionals themselves, which ensured that every subject in the programme was relevant to guests from all sectors.
Archer Mathieson was proud to be selected as the sole recruitment partner for this high-profile event and provided sector insight and expert advice during the networking and discussion periods. With such a wealth of senior finance professionals present, Ben and Catherine were able to meet one-to-one with dozens of business leaders to discuss their development and hiring plans, as well as the challenges their organisations might face in the coming year in the finance sector. As finance recruiters at the senior level, the Archer Mathieson consultants had already worked closely with many of the attendees, but had the pleasure of being introduced and advising many more over the course of the well-organised event.
